The wonderful, beautiful and mysterious Mekong Delta

I don’t normally take tours when I’m on holiday as I like to do my own think. I bowed to pressure from my husband on this one, and I’m glad I did. We were in Vietnam and he wanted to go to the Mekong Delta. I was ready to do it myself but he insisted on a tour as the area is so large he said we would miss things out. He twisted my arm and we booked a 5 day tour with a company called Asia Tour Advisor. It was excellent, they even threw in a trip to see the tunnels outside Ho Chi Minh that were used by the Vietcong in the War. The Mekong was really interesting, the people there work so hard, it’s hard for us to grasp in the West, we are so pampered. All in all, this was a great way to see a very special part of the world.
