Known as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, this region produces most of Vietnam’s fruit, rice, sugar cane, and coconuts.

After the two-hour drive through the lush farming land, you will arrive in Ben Tre where you will set out on a motorized boat trip on narrow channels winding through the coconut forest. These temples are among the earliest in the Angkor area and are collectively known as the Rolous group, consisting of Lo Lei, Preah Koh, and Bakhong Temples.

Enjoy a delightful lunch with a local family before continuing your journey to the rural outskirts, approximately 35 kilometers from the Angkor area, to visit the smallest yet most magnificent temple, Banteay Srei. Constructed in the 10th century and dedicated to Shiva, this temple serves as the birthplace of Khmer classical-style architecture. It is renowned for its exquisite pink sandstone structure, adorned with striking sculptures, lintels, pediments, and friezes. Local lore even suggests that women crafted the temple due to the intricacy of the details.
