Don Village

Don village is located in Thanh Son commune , Ba Thuoc district , Thanh Hoa province, Don village has no car roads go down, just available trail for walking down. From main road, just walking slide down the side of valley with 30 minutes, you can see the Black Thai houses in the middle of beautiful rice terraces in Pu Luong Nature Reserve.

Don Village area is well known for its stilt houses. The type of stilt houses, or pile dwellings, they construct are called Black Thai stilt houses and are made of bamboo and timber. These houses are elevated 10–12 feet off the ground in order to avoid water damage and shelter animals from the elements. One of village has nice homestay in Pu Luong.
