Ho Chi Minh Arrival: Your Gateway to Vietnam's Rich Culture

Welcome to Vietnam! As you touch down at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the beginning of your adventure unfolds. At the baggage claim, a friendly guide from Asia Tour Advisor will be there to greet you. Keep an eye out for the sign adorned with our logo and your name. We're here not only to transport you to your hotel with comfort but also to provide a captivating introduction to the dynamic city of Ho Chi Minh.

Your Journey Begins: The remainder of the day is entirely yours to immerse yourself, unwind, and explore the enchanting surroundings.

Vibrant Saigon: Saigon, known as Ho Chi Minh City, is a bustling metropolis that never sleeps. It offers a multitude of culinary delights and a lively nightlife to cater to all tastes. From street food vendors offering mouthwatering local dishes to the iconic rooftop bar at the Rex Hotel, where international correspondents reported on the Vietnam War during the "Five O’clock Follies." No matter your interests, our guides are here to provide personalized recommendations.

Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels: Unearthing Vietnam's History

Good Morning! Your day begins with a morning pick-up as we embark on a journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels are a significant part of the Vietnam-American War and promise a captivating day trip. Explore the mysterious tunnels, discover hidden doors, and the once-deadly traps.

Afternoon Exploration: After a satisfying lunch, the choice is yours. Visit either the War Remnants Museum or the Presidential Palace based on your preferences. As the sun sets, take a leisurely stroll through the city's colonial streets. Discover the Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House, and City Hall.

Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta – My Tho – Can Tho: A Journey Through the Mekong Delta

Breakfast at Your Hotel: Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel, as you prepare for an excursion into the heart of the Mekong Delta. Your guide will be there to greet you, and you'll set out for My Tho, located in the lush and green rice fields.

Exploring the Mekong River: As your adventure commences, visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda and embark on a hand-rowed sampan boat adventure along the mighty Mekong River. Glide under the shade of coconut trees along the river's natural canals, passing by wooden stilt houses, aromatic fruit plantations, and traditional fishing villages lining the banks. Stop for lunch in an orchard garden on Tortoise Islet and continue down the river to An Khang. For those who wish, a short bicycle tour is available, offering the chance to enjoy seasonal fruit, honey, and tea while serenaded by the melodious tunes of southern Vietnamese folk music performed by local musicians. In one of the small river villages, savor delicious, hand-made coconut candies while immersing yourself in the idyllic rural lifestyle. In the evening, you'll head to Can Tho, ensuring your comfortable stay at your hotel and granting you time to explore the bustling Can Tho Market.

Can Tho – Long Xuyen - Chau Doc: A River Journey Through Unique Landscapes

Discover the Lower Mekong: Begin your day with a leisurely boat trip, allowing you to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River, particularly the Bassac River. Your journey will take you to Cai Rang floating markets, known for their lively and vibrant atmosphere.

Savor Vietnamese Vermicelli Soup: Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? This is your opportunity to witness its creation and savor a delightful meal. Explore a charming village, meet the welcoming local people, and even experience crossing a "Monkey bridge," ingeniously constructed from a single bamboo stem. Your journey also includes a visit to an orchard garden and a relaxing lunch.

Visit the Crocodile Farm: As your adventure unfolds, proceed to Chau Doc via Long Xuyen to visit a crocodile farm. After arriving in Chau Doc, enjoy the stunning landscape from the summit of Sam Mountain, affording breathtaking views along the Vietnamese-Cambodian border. Visit the Caved Pagoda, a unique experience. Your overnight stay is in Chau Doc.

Chau Doc – Phnom Penh: Cross the Cambodian Border

Breakfast at Your Hotel: Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, embark on a speed boat journey lasting approximately 4.5 hours, which will take you to Phnom Penh. On arrival at the Cambodian border, you can obtain your visa on arrival (USD 20 each, along with one 3x4cm photo). Your local Cambodian guide will meet you at Phnom Penh's boat pier, arranging your transfer to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to relax or explore the renowned Russian Market.

Phnom Penh Tour - Siem Reap: Discover Cambodia's Rich Heritage

Exploring the Capital: Begin your day with a city tour of Phnom Penh. Despite its tumultuous history, the capital city of Phnom Penh still exudes considerable charm. Visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the National Museum, dedicated exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of exhibits date from the Angkor period (9th to 15th century), with some dating as far back as the 4th century. While the Royal Palace's private quarters remain off-limits, the palace's public areas offer a glimpse of the royal family's life. Explore the Silver Pagoda, the country's most sacred temple.

Journey to Siem Reap: Transfer to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, we'll pick you up and ensure your comfortable stay at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore or simply relax.

Siem Reap Tour: Unveil the Mysteries of Angkor

Early Morning Exploration: Begin your day with a visit to the enchanting Ta Prohm, a temple that has nearly been consumed by the jungle, creating an eerily haunting and exotic scene. The temple's colossal tree roots, embracing the massive stone blocks, evoke a sensation that may remain with you forever. Continue to the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat, one of the world's most awe-inspiring remnants. The temple features fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art.

Discovering Angkor Thom: Explore the mysterious Royal city of Angkor Thom, renowned for its 54-tower temple, Bayon. At first glance, it may appear as a shapeless mass of stone, but upon closer examination, numerous faces emerge, gazing out from a distant and primitive time.

Explore Preah Khan: Further your exploration by visiting the Preah Khan temple, built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. It exhibits the same architectural style as Ta Prohm Temple.

Siem Reap Departure: Fond Farewell

Morning Freedom: Enjoy the morning at your leisure, free to explore, shop, or simply relax in the vibrant city.

Homeward Bound: In due time, your private car will arrive to transport you to the airport for your next adventure.

Best tripin the Mekong Delta – absolutely fantastic!
Reviewed On: Jan 05, 2023Camilla SandebertUnited Kingdom

We booked a 2 days and 2 night tour from Ho Chi Min City to Can Tho and then travelled to Phnom Penh. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Asia Tour Advisor! They picked us up at our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City with a private car and the tour guide gave us a hearty welcome. We did a tour on the Mekong to the floating markets which was a great experience because our guide is a local and we could have breakfast (pho) in our boat from a floating restaurant. We also had the chance to eat pineapple right from the trading boat from the floating market and also to go on the pineapple boat and experience the floating market. Our guide spoke very well English and explained the floating market and the local life to us. We then travelled to a homestay where we were spoiled with wonderful and tasty food from the hosts. The homestay was in the countryside right at the Mekong and it was a nice break from the busy cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City. We also did a cycling trip through the nature and we were introduced to different local factories and farmers which was very interesting and which is also a great thing to support the local people. The homestay only had a fan in the bedroom and no A/C which made it a little difficult to sleep because it was so hot – however, we travelled in April which is apparently the hottest month there – so in the high season it may not be as hot 😉 and for a homestay it was also ok. On the next day we travelled in the sunrise on the Mekong to another floating market to have breakfast which was absolutely beautiful – seeing the Mekong in the dawn was absolutely breathtaking. This tour was really fun and interesting. We again visited local manufacturers and farmers and got again a taste of the tasty local food and a great experience. We slept in a very luxurious five star hotel in Can Tho and slept really well – only a shame we had to get up at 3 o’clock already because we then travelled on to Phnom Penh. Even thought the travel to Phnom Penh did not belong to the tour we booked with Asia Tour Advisor. So, overall, we had a really wonderful experience with Asia Tour Advisor’s tour – the guides spoke very well English and you get really a good insight of the local life (something I find quite difficult to provide and haven’t experienced in other tours). I can recommend Asia Tour Advisor’s tours to everyone and will definitely advise my family and friends to travel with them if they have the chance.

It was a very fun experience to visit the Mekong Delta with our tour guide Tuan. He was very friendly and kept the group engaged. We went by boat along the Delta into a small village, where there were singers/performers. We were shown local food and there was a large meal prepared. Tuan was so helpful and I would recommend this trip to anyone in Saigon.

We have a few ways to travel from Saigon to Phnom Penh. Firstly, we visit Ho Chi Minh & Cu Chi Tunnels. The trip to the Cu Chi Tunnel is, as expected, fairly touristic with limited freedom to roam around. Then we have 3 days in Mekong Delta with the first night stop over in Can Tho where you can visit the floating market of Cai Rang, Then the last night in Chau Doc where you will get the speed boat to Phnompenh. The speed boats start around 7 am in the morning, price around 25 USD per head and it takes about 4 hours from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh. You can easily do this way by yourself by using public buses if you are on budget or you can take the private trip if affordable, This is a very easy, interesting way to explore the Mekong Delta and great connecting way to enter to Cambodia as well. You will take more photos than you ever have before. Very few restrictions and the local people love posing for you. Happy and safe travels!

Terrific Floating Market Tour
Reviewed On: May 18, 2017NataliaRussia

Four of us took the 7 hour tour that went to Mekong delta and then continued up river to the smaller and more intimate Ben tre followed by a trip through back canals and a brief hike beside a canal, to a boa constrictor farm and a noodle factory. We all loved every bit of it.
Our guide, Huy was affable, knowledgeable, articulate and spoke excellent English. We had a breakfast at the homestay in Ben Tre and then an early lunch near the noodle factory.
Highly recommended.

Thanks guys, you were just great. Always a bit of a worry when you book online from a different country, but you guys rocked it. The Vietnamese people were amazing, they kept wanting to touch our hair. Not creepy just really interested in us. Everywhere we went people shouted hello and how are you. We weren’t hassled anywhere we went and for two blonde girls traveling alone that makes a nice change. Vietnam is so much more beautiful than I had expected. I really enjoyed The Mekong Delta with its floating markets and also Saigon, or Ho Chi Minh as they now say. Can’t wait for the next adventure.
