Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi! As you step off the plane at Noi Bai International Airport, a warm and friendly reception awaits you. Look for our guide in the baggage claim area; they'll be holding a sign adorned with the distinctive Asia Tour Advisor logo and your name. Your comfort is our utmost priority, and during your transfer to your hotel, we'll provide you with an engaging introduction to this enchanting city. The remainder of the day is yours to settle in, relax, and soak up the local atmosphere.

Hanoi is a culinary paradise, boasting an array of exceptional dining establishments offering French, Vietnamese, and international cuisines. Don't hesitate to seek recommendations from your guide for personalized restaurant experiences.

Hanoi, Vietnam's captivating capital, is home to seven million people and exudes an air of tradition and refinement. With its French colonial architecture, tree-lined boulevards, serene lakes, and the bustling Old Quarter, the city seamlessly blends the past with the present. Take a moment to witness locals practicing Tai Chi by the tranquil lakeside, while barbers and street food vendors ply their trade on lively sidewalks.

Hanoi – Halong Bay

Our journey embarks from Hanoi at 8:00 AM, where we'll pick you up for a scenic drive through the verdant landscapes of the Red River Delta. Our destination: the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage site, Halong Bay. Here, you'll embark on a luxurious junk ship for an enchanting overnight cruise.

As you relax on board, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking limestone karsts that majestically emerge from the azure waters, surrounded by thousands of jungle-clad islands seemingly suspended on the gentle waves. The turquoise waters of the Gulf of Tonkin conceal hidden grottoes and ancient caves, creating a timeless and mesmerizing world.

Indulge in a sumptuous seafood lunch as you savor the awe-inspiring views, with a refreshing drink in hand. Our next stop will be a traditional fishing village, where resourceful locals have transformed their boats into an entire floating community. Following this, you'll have the opportunity to explore Tien Ong Cave before returning to the cruise for an evening of cocktails, canapés, and a magnificent sunset. The day culminates in a romantic candlelit dinner.

Halong Bay - Hanoi

Kickstart your day with a Tai Chi class on deck, set against the backdrop of the early morning mist, or simply bask in the breathtaking scenery as the sun rises over the azure waters. You can choose between an excursion to a secluded island with a sandy beach for a refreshing swim or join our chef for a cooking demonstration to delve deeper into the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine.

Relish a leisurely brunch as your junk ship continues its voyage through Halong Bay, passing by captivating islets and intriguing caves on its way back to the dock.

Upon your return to Hanoi, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Hanoi City Tour Full Day - Danang - Hoian

After a fulfilling breakfast at your hotel, your knowledgeable local guide will be at your service to explore the captivating capital city of Vietnam. With a history spanning over a thousand years, Hanoi boasts numerous fascinating cultural and historical sites waiting to be discovered.

Visit the imposing Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the preserved body of "Uncle Ho" rests, and explore the delicate One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Temple, and Quan Thanh Pagoda. After a delightful lunch, your exploration continues at the Temple of Literature, housing ancient Vietnamese relics.

Embark on a one-hour cyclo tour through the bustling and vibrant Old Quarter, filled with marketplace shops and tempting street foods. Your day culminates with a unique cultural performance at the water puppet theater, a beloved tradition from northern Vietnam.

Upon disembarkation, your driver will be ready to transfer you to Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang, our team will ensure a seamless transition to your hotel, granting you the freedom to explore at your own pace.

Hoian Tour – Tra Que village

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an exciting adventure. Your local guide will lead you on a bicycle ride to Tra Que Village, located just 10 kilometers away. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the daily activities of local farmers.

Continue your bicycle journey along the De Vong River to Hoi An Beach wharf. From there, board a boat to Cua Dai Sand Dune, where you'll enjoy a captivating casting net show and learn the art of casting a net from a local fisherman. Continue to Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village, where you'll receive a brief introduction to its history.

Embark on a basket boat adventure along the water coconut river, with fishermen teaching you how to catch crabs (two passengers per boat). Engage in a friendly competition as the group is divided into two teams for a thrilling basket boat race and crab-catching challenge, with a delightful prize awaiting the winners.

At 12:20 PM, board a boat and enjoy a folk songs show by local performers. Then, at 12:30 PM, savor special local delicacies, including pancakes, Tam Huu spring rolls, fried fish, and more. After lunch, learn to craft amusing tools from water coconut leaves.

At 2:00 PM, continue to the ancient town of Hoi An, where you'll experience the daily life of fishermen along the Thu Bon River. A walking tour of Hoi An's well-preserved ancient town center will transport you back in time to when it was a major trading port in Asia. Explore old shophouses, the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, a Chinese communal hall, and the vibrant market. Conclude your day with free time to relax on Cua Dai Beach.

Hoian – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast, savoring the flavors and tranquility of your Hoian surroundings. As the morning sun bathes this charming town, our team will arrive to accompany you on your journey to Danang, where you'll catch a flight to vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. Upon your arrival, we'll whisk you away to your hotel, providing you with the evening to immerse yourself in the bustling energy of Saigon.

Saigon, a city that never sleeps, presents an abundance of culinary delights and entertainment options. Whether you're enticed by the sizzle of street food vendors or the sophistication of a rooftop bar at the historic Rex Hotel, Saigon caters to all tastes. Feel free to consult your guide for personalized recommendations tailored to your interests.

Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels

In the morning, we'll pick you up for a riveting excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a poignant relic of the Vietnam-American War. Delve into the mysteries of these underground passages, uncover hidden entrances, and learn about the ingenious traps that once protected them. After a satisfying lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City and devote your afternoon to exploring either the War Remnants Museum or the Presidential Palace, based on your preferences. As evening descends upon the city, take a leisurely stroll along colonial streets, visiting iconic landmarks such as the historic Old Saigon Post Office, the bustling Dong Khoi Street, the elegant Continental Hotel, the grand Opera House, and the majestic City Hall.

Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta – Ben Tre

At 8:30 AM, your guide will be at your hotel to collect you for an enriching journey to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Along the way, enjoy a refreshing 15-minute stop at Mekong Restop to rejuvenate and soak in the scenic beauty.

By 10:30 AM, you'll arrive at Ham Luong Dock, where you'll board a boat for a captivating cruise along the Ham Luong River, a tributary of the mighty Mekong River. The gentle breeze from the river and the lush tropical islands lining its banks will stir a sense of anticipation for the wonders awaiting you.

During your visit, explore various local workshops and witness the time-honored techniques employed by the local artisans to craft their products. Marvel at the production of activated charcoal, the artistry of dried coconut, the ingenuity behind handy coconut husk brooms, and the intricate creations fashioned from coir, or coconut fiber, by family businesses. Cruise along village roads aboard a "Xe Lôi," a local motorized rickshaw, to immerse yourself in the authentic charm of the region.

Take to the serene natural canals in a kayak, allowing you to fully embrace the tranquil beauty of the Mekong River and gain insights into the rural life that thrives in this area. Following a delectable lunch hosted by a local family, you'll have ample time to relax before embarking on a comfortable car journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, with an expected arrival around 4:30 PM.

Departure from Ho Chi Minh City

Great trip to Vietnam
Reviewed On: Sep 01, 2023KenSingapore

We started planning the trip back in March for an 12-day trip to Vietnam in July. When I filled out a form on the Asia Tour Advisor's website, Ms. Xuan responded immediately. Throughout all the planning and travel, she was quick and very helpful. I can't say enough good things about Xuan and company. We are a private tour, with all transportation, guides, drivers, accommodation and domestic flights handled by Xuan. Her suggestions for the itinerary were excellent (we went to Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Saigon, Mekong Delta and Phu Quoc). Whenever we had questions or wanted something other than she suggested, she happily responded to our requests.

Vietnam Holiday

I was told about Asia Tour Advisor by 2 different groups of friends here in Sydney so decided to get a quote from them for our trip to Vietnam for 2 couples. Right from the start they were quick to respond to any of my messages and there was never a problem in how many changes we made until the trip was perfect for us. They asked all the right questions and even when we thought we had it right they had suggestions that made it even better! Our trip was in Aug this year and right from the start everything went as planned. Our Hotels were all in the areas we wanted to stay and were very clean and comfortable and the hotel staff could not do any more to help you . As we got out of every airport there was always someone waiting with a sign to pick us up and take us to our hotels and even be a tour guide along the way. We also received constant updates about our next flights and hotel or tour pickups so we were never late. The guides and tours were amazing and overall we left Vietnam with fabulous memories. I have already told other friends about the level of service we received from Asia Tour Advisor and have no hesitation in recommending them again and again. Thanks to all the team at Asia Tour Advisor and hopefully we will get the chance to use their services again in the future.

An amazing stopover!
Reviewed On: Aug 28, 2018Janet FHong Kong

We decided to visit Vietnam as a stopover on our way back to the UK from New Zealand. AsiaTour Advisor couldn’t have been more helpful. They put together a tour with everything we asked for and kept us informed through the whole process. They organised our internal flights too. The guides and drivers were excellent and always on time. We learned such a lot about the country. There was a slight hitch when our Halong Bay cruise was cut short because of an impending storm but Mr.Hong quickly booked us an extra night in Hanoi. We had only requested 3* hotels but all were higher graded and luxurious!
Thank you to Ms.Linh Chi and the team for organising our memorable trip

Good value holiday!
Reviewed On: Sep 23, 2016HeribertProchGermany

I wanted to book a personal tour as we didn’t have much time in Vietnam. After communication with Ms Trang via email we sorted an itinerary which took in all the sights we wanted to see.
Our guide picked us up at our hotel, together with a driver we visited:
-Ha Noi
-Halong Bay
-Da nang, Hoian
-HCMC and Mekong delta
Our guide MrHai was fantastic, spoke good English, was very knowledgeable and had a lovely warm and funny personality. He was also very helpful and accommodating, happy to take photos, making sure we were ok, offering a hand up and down any tricky steps. After every stop we were offered water and a cold towel, which were a welcomed relief in the heat. Our driver was also a gentleman, insisting on opening the car door for us and always making sure we had enough water.
Tour with Asia Tour Advisor was worth every penny. We totally love it!

Finally a true family vacation
Reviewed On: Dec 08, 2015The HendersonUnited States

It genuinely can be a horror story planning those summer vacations, when you have kids. I can’t remember one, that worked out the way we had hope and planned. At last the kids had grown to their teens and, faced with the pending, empty nest syndrome, we wanted one last adventure together. I can’t even remember how we arrived at Vietnam for our destination, but I’m sure glad we did. Teenage kids are long past the age of needing constant stimulation, but a vacation still has to live up to expectations for four very different people. the Vietnam Family Holiday from Asia Tour Advisor, ticks all the boxes. For late teens it works very well, it was quite unusual to sit enjoying a glass of beer late at night with my son and daughter, but rules in Vietnam are more easy going than back home. We all loved Halong Bay, my wife adored Hoi An, it was The Mekong Delta that did it for me, the kids enjoyed the Cu Chi Tunnels, something to tell their boyfriends and girlfriends about when we got back. Needless to say, we all enjoyed the beaches. Great job! People.

I could stay in Halong Bay forever
Reviewed On: Nov 25, 2015John KilbaneUnited States

In September I went to fulfill a lifelong ambition, boy! Am I glad I did. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to see the amazing World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. I remember watching a program on TV when I was just a kid. The colors of the islands and the water, the shapes of these weird rock formations fascinated me. I finally got the chance, came into a small inheritance and just went for it. It was awesome! I went on an organized tour as I was traveling alone. That was a great choice as well. The Vietnamese people were really cool and very friendly. Hanoi was ok, not quite what I had expected, but Halong Bay was just great. To many in my country Vietnam holds bad memories, but they should go and see it now.

We booked our trip through Ms. Risa. Risa responded to every email with great efficiency and even managed to get us an upgrade our services for the same price of the group trip. The drivers were on time and the guides had perfect English and very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Asia Tour Advisor to anyone who wishes to take the stress out of arranging their holiday in Vietnam.

Wonderful trip
Reviewed On: May 06, 2015Dave RaynerGermany

Recently my son and I visited Vietnam. We arranged our trip through Vietnam with Asia Tour Advisor (ATA) . The beauty of using ATA was that we could tailor the trip to our liking based on their very good recommendations. We travelled from South to North going to many wonderful places along the way. At each place we were met by a local guide who spoke good English and who took us to and explained all the local significant sites. I could go on but if you are considering a trip to Vietnam I suggest you get in touch with ATA! The staff/crew of the cruise in Halong Bay made the trip special. The place is absolutely stunning and in many ways better than Ha Long Bay! We would have missed it without ATA.

The most amazing journey
Reviewed On: Nov 05, 2014Martin StevensonUnited Kingdom

Its official, Vietnam is so cool! This was a brilliant trip. My parents paid for me to go as a 21st present. I went with to mates, it was just amazing. The first half was an organised trip and the second was just chilling out on the beaches of Phu Quoc island. The tour was booked online through Asia Tour Advisor. It was really interesting and exciting. I think Saigon rocks. We had such a great time. The backpacker area is great, cheap beers and loads of fun. I went to Thailand two years ago and loved it, but I thought Vietnam was even better.
