Taweechai Elephant Camp (Kanchanaburi)

Taweechai Elephant Camp is one of the largest elephant camps in Thailand. In operations since 1999, the camp is a place where elephants are trained and domesticated. The elephant camp often supplies the pachyderms for use in Hollywood and Hong Kong movie productions. Visitors to Taweechai Elephant Camp can watch and even participate in giving the elephants a bath. Other activities include bamboo rafting and visits to the living quarters of the mahouts as well as to the Karen tribe village.
