About 08:00 am: The guide pick you up in Ho Chi Minh city and transfer you to Ben Tre where is the first place of Mekong delta in our trip.  Arrive at Ham Luong dock, you will take a boat and then cruise along Ham Luong River, a tributary to the Mekong River. The cool breeze from the river and lush tropical islands along its banks will immediately get you excited to explore all the great things ahead.

Arrive and visit various local workplaces to find many wonderful examples of how local people use ageless techniques to create their crafts, including activated charcoal, dried coconut, handy coconut husk brooms, and many family businesses using coir, or coconut fiber, to create amazing art. Cruise around the village roads by “Xe Lôi”, the local vehicle, which is a kind of motorized rickshaw. Kayak through the natural canals to get a unique experience of the peaceful beauty of the Mekong River as well as the rural life there. Having lunch at a local host house. After lunch, you will have some time for relaxing then transfer you to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, check in homestay. Enjoy your time with local people.

After breakfast, we will pick you up and transfer you to center of Tram Chim town, Tam Nông, Dong Thap province, you will stopover to enjoy traditional coffee shop en route. When you arrive Tram Chim town, you check in your homestay or hotel before lunch beside Tram Chim National park.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a solar energy boat to visit Tram Chim national park – one of four Ramsars in Vietnam (an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands) where you will be introduced range of animals, birds and plants in the Southern Vietnam and few birds of 200 types of birds housing here which make up ¼ the bird population in Vietnam. Some of these birds have been put in the Red Book for a long time. The most typical and most well-known one is the Red-crown Crane, one of the last 15 crane pieces in the world. Normally, a crane has a height of more than 1.7 m, gray feathers, long neck, red head and wide wings.

Next, you continue to discover Tram Chim on a boat rowing where you can experience the eco-system inside national park and then walking thru the trails where you can find some animals, plants and birds which they are feeding and relaxing on the trees

After visiting the Tram Chim national park, you will visit local people’s house and talking to him to understand how local people make the handicraft products and have special local gifts from them if we have time.

Then, you will be back to local homestay to take part in local activity of fishing on the lotus field which will bring you a rustic and great experience especially when catching fish on river. At the end of day, transfer you back to Can Tho. Having dinner and staying overnight at homestay.

In the early morning, you will take a boat to Cai Rang floating market and have an opportunity to talk to the sellers on their boats. You back to hotel for check-out and have light breakfast or you can choose breakfast during visiting floating market. Then, you can visit the local family who made noodles by handmade or relax in fruits garden next to Mekong Rustic Can Tho before check-out. After having lunch, transfer you back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City.
