Myanmar great vacation

We booked directly with a local travel agent, AsiaTourAdvisor and are very happy with everything. It is always a bit scary when you book via the internet and wire money to a bank account and then hope that someone is at the airport to pick you up. It all worked out perfectly. We are a family of 6 and used them to book accommodation, internal airfares and arrange a car, driver and guide in each location. Everything worked very well and it was obvious that AsiaTourAdvisor has their act together. It is not easy to book internal airfares outside of the country and accommodation is in short supply so it was definitely worth our while to pay a tour company to handle all of the logistics. We used mid-priced accommodations, all of which were clean and well managed even though they were not luxurious. We saw an enormous amount of things, some of which we would not have had access to as independent travelers. e.g. walking tours through villages in Bagan and Inle Lake. The boat rides, Ox rides, horse rides etc, and all worked seamlessly and saved a huge amount of time. I was a backpacker in Burma 25 years ago and only saw a fraction of what we saw this time…largely because you can now fly between towns but also because of the efficiency of AsiaTourAdvisor’s knowledge of each location. I would definitely recommend.
