Myanmar pretty amazing

My trip was short, 9days/8nights and it is not for everybody, but I liked it. I arrived inYangon, and my driver and guide took me to the Panorama Hotel. Pretty good hotel (air conditioning. TV with several channels, breakfast, and staff spoke English). The following day I was picked up at the hotel and taken to the airport to depart for Bagan, with Yangon Airway ( a 60 minute flight). Flight normal but landing bumpy. At Bagan I was greeted by another guide. More personable than the one I had at Yangon, and we headed off to the market and stupas. Bagan have a wonderful area for eating, and views of the stupas. Bagan was a magical place.. The following day I flew to, Inle Lake, which I would consider the highlight of the trip because it was nothing like I have ever seen. The people on Inle Lake lived on houses on stilts, they used boats for transportation, they had farms growing tomatoes that were on the lake. The following day I flew back to Yangon, went around on my own, and then flew back to Los Angeles.. Overall this trip was very special. I met a lot of wonderful people. One of the highlights was going to someone’s house whose 9 year old son was going to be a monk. The house was filled with friends and relatives, chatting, watching TV, eating. I am back in Los Angeles but I still think about Myanmar.
