What more could I possibly want? I had already reached a new heaven once I stepped in the island. PhuQuoc was that place. I couldn’t stop staring and admiring at every bit of the island. Friends and relatives had told me about the place so I had to see it for myself. The journey was to visit the wonderland of PhuQuoc one of the biggest and most stunning island inVietnam tours. Located on the further southern part of the province, KienGiang, It also holds top 5 most hidden beaches. For a vacation, PhuQuocIsland was just a five star island with lots of beauty and historical features not forgetting the natives of the island who were jovial about new people visiting. So big of a destination, it was even hard to visit every corner of it but I managed to visit and just enjoy the atmosphere. Here are top 7 things that i loved about PhuQuoc Island that you need to experience for yourself that will take you out of ordinary day today life.

1- Plenty of Fresh Sea Food

For some delicious food I had to try the sea food which was utterly delicious. This is due to the islands access to sea which alternatively offers its fresh seafood, vegetables and herbs. The most amazing part of it all is that when at the beach the seafood could be served in boats. Totally an experience worth memories, so be it you love your fish cooked or grilled this island had the right people experienced for the adventure. I just love sea food and PhuQuoc Island gave me the best. Each time you are there all you can think of is getting hungry and going for some sea food. Thumps up to the seafood!

2- Experience with Wildlife

PhuQuoc is home to more than 3000 mammal and bird species. Imagine seeing wild animals in the early morning as I took my morning run. It felt like “Tarzan” the movie, experiencing wild animals as they strolled along the road. On the other hand, due to my interest in the study of birds, PhuQuoc gave me the ultimate variety of various species of birds. I took pictures to remember but the real pictures still lingers in my mind.

3- Beautiful Swimming Beaches

I love basking out in the sun and the island gave me what I exactly wanted and that was the sun to bask on, the sea to take a swim in and the sand to take a stroll on. I even had the opportunity to visit the long island and Sao beach which was amazingly beautiful. It was close to the city which was an added advantage. During the evening, seeing the sun set was awesome from the beach. On the other hand I got to see the starfish, one of the most beautiful sea fish. The natives here explained to me that Sao meant “Star”, it was a great name for such an adventurous beach.
Accommodation

When I first arrived at PhuQuoc I knew I was in the right place, thanks to the good work of the tour guides in the areas who took to me to a variety of fancy resorts and bungalows. Quit amazed by how affordable they were. I chose a one thatched bungalow which gave me all I wanted, from high quality facilities to fascinating views of the sea and the sun during sunset. Based on my budget, PhuQuoc offered all I needed without any difficulties. Can’t wait to go back there and feel the atmosphere once again.

4- The Amazing Sunset View

The sun made each day of my stay there, seeing each evening how it set at the endless horizon of the sea. It was a relaxing moment just taking my favorite cocktail as I set my eyes on the slowly colorful unfolding sun set. When I showed my friends the pictures that I took as the sun went down, I could see it in their eyes that this was the place they yawned for. I just can’t let go the memories of every colorful day that ended. That feeling is extremely unforgettable.

5- Nature at Its Best

I was used to the city life which is run by development and technology and that is; a few plantations and more buildings to be more elaborate. In PhuQuoc it felt out of the ordinary and truly it was a wonderland as I had always read and heard about it. The island was full of life just from the atmosphere to the untouched, unspoiled raw nature of the place. It was a destination of natural beauty and an experience there felt like I belonged to the culture of this place. In the evening my tour guide took me to a traditional festival where I danced and enjoyed the night with the islands inhabitants. They even offered me with some traditional drinks.

6- Easy and Quick Access

Getting there was quite easy; this was made possible due to the availability of an efficient and fast operating airport which facilitated for my transport to the island. I enjoyed comfort, and the people there treat you as one off their own which made me feel like part of the family there at the Vietnam island PhuQuoc. Once I got on a plane to my so long destination I knew everything was going in the right direction. Viewing the island from the plane was like a dream come true, it was truly a treasure island from the air, and upon landing I could only but stare at the nature of the island.

If you are planning on get away, just free from your normal lifestyle I would advise you to visit the island of PhuQuoc. Don’t worry if you have your loved ones tagging along, the island will cater for every bit of fun that you have always dreamt of. On my next vacation I plan to take my family to this island. Can’t wait for them to experience what being in the Island of PhuQuoc feels like.
