I could stay in Halong Bay forever

In September I went to fulfill a lifelong ambition, boy! Am I glad I did. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to see the amazing World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. I remember watching a program on TV when I was just a kid. The colors of the islands and the water, the shapes of these weird rock formations fascinated me. I finally got the chance, came into a small inheritance and just went for it. It was awesome! I went on an organized tour as I was traveling alone. That was a great choice as well. The Vietnamese people were really cool and very friendly. Hanoi was ok, not quite what I had expected, but Halong Bay was just great. To many in my country Vietnam holds bad memories, but they should go and see it now.
