The Best Fortnight Ever

This was one of the best holidays I have ever taken. My wife and I went to Vietnam and trusted Asia Tour Advisor with the arrangements. We simply gave them a list of the must see places for us, and left them to it. They came back suggesting this almost two week tour. It was truly amazing, the best fortnight of our lives. Vietnam is an astonishingly beautiful country and took us by surprise. We arrived at Hanoi in the north of the country and after exploring the capital city we were whisked off to Halong Bay for a short cruise through some of the most beautiful scenery I have seen. We stayed overnight in extremely luxurious surroundings on the boat.

Next we travelled down the coast taking in the H cultural history of Hué and the very pretty Hoi An. From here we continued down to Ho Chi Minh City, which of course used to be called Saigon. What a wonderful cultural experience that is. We took a bus ride down to Can Tho which is the provincial capital in the Mekong Delta, another incredible region. The river is vast and as it splits into the delta there seems to be more waterways that solid ground.

Finally we returned to Ho Chi Minh City again for our last night before flying back hame. Two weeks that neither of us will ever forget.
