Upon arrival, you will be met outside the baggage claim area by your guide who will escort you to a waiting vehicle for your transfer to downtown with a brief introduction en route. Your guide will be holding a welcome signboard with the ASIA TOUR ADVISOR LOGO & your name. During the drive your guide will provide an introduction to Vientiane.
Nestled in a mountain valley at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers is the enchanting World Heritage town and former royal capital of Luang Prabang. It's a magical and captivating place with stunning colonial architecture, ornate monasteries and colourful markets. Rise early to witness the ancient dawn ritual of saffron robed monks collecting alms, discover the hundreds of Buddha sculptures in Pak Ou Caves, see the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfall and climb Phou Si hill to watch the sun sink slowly behind the Mekong River.
Luang Prabang has many great cafes and restaurants and also night food stalls which emerge at dusk. Ask your guide for personal recommendations.
Breakfast at your hotel. The guide will pick you up and then we will escort you to The National Museum. You will visit Wat Visoun and see the impressive stupa there. Next you will go to the shrine at Wat Aham, Wat Mai and Wat Xieng Thong. Your next place of interest will be the hill in the center of town, Mount Phousi.
After you have seen the golden stupa at the summit; you will have ample time to witness the sunset over the city. Mount Phousi offers the visitor a spectacular view of the city and The Mekong River. After making the descent we will take you to the nearby Street Night Market, where the local hill-tribe people sell their merchandise. Then you will return to your hotel. Free time.
After your breakfast this short Laos trip takes in a pleasant cruise on The Mekong River. The tranquil countryside provides a magnificent backdrop as you make your way to the village of Ban Xanghai. Here the local trade is the distillation of rice wine.
From here we move on to the famous Pak Ou Caves. The caves are crammed full of ornate statues of the Buddha. As we leave the caves we will take you to Ban Xang Khong village. Here the local people are highly skilled in the dyeing and hand weaving of exquisite fabrics. You will then return to your hotel where your Laos travel company has arranged your accommodation.
After breakfast in the hotel we will escort you to Kuang Sii Falls. This beautiful natural feature is the perfect spot to relax. You may swim in the clear water or if you wish make the gentle climb to the top.
On the return journey we take in the fascinating village of the Black Hmong hill-tribe people. Life here has remained unchanged for centuries. You then have some free time to relax at the hotel before transfer you to airport for your departure flight.

He is kind, considerate and animated. He shared his love for his country, his people, and his culture with us and we were so fortunate to have him as our guide.
