What about motorbikes? It's still a good choice for adventure seekers. But it requires you to have endurance to ride a motorbike almost continuously throughout this trip.

So, the choice of means of transport depends on you! Just choose the one that you find most suitable.

Day 1: Explore Son Tay, Thanh Son, Muong Lo, Khau Pha Pass, and Mam Xoi

8:00 AM: Start your adventure by hitting No.32 Highway. Make a pit stop in Son Tay for a delightful breakfast. Fuel up for the day ahead, as you're about to witness some of the most beautiful places in Northern Vietnam.

10:30 AM: At this time, you should reach Thanh Son in Phu Tho. There are famous tea hills here. Don't miss them! You can search Google Maps to get there or ask people on the roadside for directions. They will happily show you the way.

1:00 PM: Post-lunch, make your way to the iconic Khau Pha Pass. On the pass, you can take snapshots and gaze upon Lim Thai and Lim Mong villages surrounded by rice fields.
